after his highly acclaimed remix of phil kierans >empty vessels< one of the most prolific and inventive producers in the current electronic music scene returns to electric deluxe: gary beck with an ep of his own, >egoist ep<. created sometime last year during a dark and stormy night in glasgow, the track with the promising title >egoist< was at first about to be forgotten. at some point >egoist< ended up in speedy j<s hands, who immediately decided to play it, >egoist< proved its name, ripping apart every dance floor every time it got dropped.

emotional especial gathers pace with an eighth release from richard sen, a man whose cultured touch has had a hand in various strands of the uk underground for the past two decades. graffiti artist, graphic designer, music curator, dj and producer are all vocations richard sen has done at one point or another. here he goes solo with the ghost train ep, a dark and brooding release of old school meets new school house jack that takes its cues from 80s new york, italian house and the nascent uk acid house that sen himself documented with aplomb on a 2012 compilation for strut. naggingly familiar samples and a low slung box jam groove drive the spectral title cut forward, whilst sens mastery of delay is shown with aplomb on the dub version that closes out the record. nestled in between is the highlight however in *meteor shower* where discoid basslines merge with psychedelically charged keys and hollowed out steppers percussion.

techno-legends oliver bondzio and ramon zenker aka hardfloor are back in style this season! with their beloved machine music that is free from seasonal flares, and artificial flavours. hardfloor are still true to the core of their 303 platine circuit boards. electronic music production is nothing less than a bare necessity to these pioneers of the acid groove. hailed and namedropped by many a young producer’s today, revamped or sampled... acid lines emerge anew in quite a few tracks. but when hardfloor put acid in their tank - it is sooo much more and way bigger than a marketable gimmick or the fuel to an otherwise exchangeable battery of loops. it is the motor, the lifeline and the heartbeat to a whole organism offering a whole world of expression and – first and foremost - emotions!
